Principals Message

Dear Parent, and Family Members, 

 

On behalf of the ECHO Cooperative and the FEP staff, I am pleased to welcome you to the Family Enrichment- Birth to Three Program! We value and recognize all parents as our children's first, and most influential teachers, and therefore, we feel privileged to be able to join you as partners in your child's educational journey.

 

FEP is funded by the Illinois State Board of Education and provides opportunities for parents and family members to engage with our staff, and receive resources that will support each level of birth to age five growth and development. With parents as partners, our vision focuses on each child being well prepared for his/her first formal school experience when entering prekindergarten. We are excited to work with you, as together, we focus on your child's social- emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. 

 

Recognizing that language development is the key to school success, many staff/ parent activities will center around building vocabulary and developing thinking skills from infancy to three years. Reading aloud each day to children during prenatal development through three years of age will remain an important goal!
